Good question. The thing to know is that Elliott waves are fractal -- the patterns continue to repeat at all levels of trend. We label three-wave corrective moves A-B-C. But each of those three waves (A, B, and C) are also made up of waves. In a zig-zag correction both A and C are expected to be five-wave moves.

So to help us figure out when wave C ends we try to count out the five waves within it. That helps us identify the turning point sooner.

We try to give bits and pieces of Elliott wave knowledge in our daily briefing but can't describe the whole structure each day. So if ever anything doesn't make sense, please keep asking. We want to help make waves as valuable as possible for subscribers.

Why are you now looking for a wave 5 up, when in the Sunday special you made a strong case for a three wave correction, followed by resumption of downside?
