Trade Update: March 2012 E-Mini S&P 500 Futures

While price action in the equity markets remains consistent with a downturn, the recent advance allows for possible short-term bullish interpretations. Our trade was intended to achieve a larger move than has been been seen so far, but we don’t want to give up all our profits should the trade turn against us.  Therefore, we are further lower stops on ONE CONTRACT to 1283.   Our stop on the remaining position is unchanged.

Note that it is possible for this stop to be triggered and our original trade thesis to be correct.   Therefore we continue to contemplate several possible future actions, including:

  1. Raising the stop again if we observe further evidence to support the idea of additional declines; or
  2. Re-entering the trade after stops are triggered.

Stay -tuned.
